if you install quicktime (you don't need pro), you can export as .mp4 and .mov, which are quicker to be exported and upload to youtube faster.
I haven't tried an .mp4 file, but according to google it uploads the fastest. also .movs get a bit darker than what you think you'll see.
.avi? 1 minute video (for me) takes 2 hours to upload. .mov? takes 30 minutes
